Community Engagement

  • Reflect the student body and community by working closely with administration, staff, and parents.

  • Hold monthly town halls in my district to gather feedback and address concerns.

  • Visit schools regularly to listen to students and staff through conversations, emails, or phone calls.

  • Support students in all their endeavors, including academics, sports, drama, and music.

  • Be accessible to the community to discuss district activities and encourage involvement.

Focus on Academic Excellence

  • Increase funding for core subjects like English, Math, Science, and History to boost student learning and performance for college and career readiness.

  • Address low test scores by ensuring teachers have uninterrupted time to focus on academics.

  • Reallocate funds from non-academic programs that do not support career-readiness or college-readiness to enhance core subject education.

  • Empower teachers to create individualized plans for students who are stuggling in reading and math skills.

  • Encourage parental and community volunteer involvement to support teachers and provide classroom checks and balances.

Enhance Support for Career-Ready Students

  • There are alternative pathways to career readiness and skilled trades without the emphasis on traditional college education. We must invest in both college and career readiness.

  • Expand vocational training options for students not pursuing university education — technology, agriculture, business management, trades, hospitality industry, etc., provide excellent, long-term employment opportunities for our students and future graduates, homeowners, parents and community leaders.

  • Encourage mentorship and job shadowing from business owners in the community to expose students to career opportunities right here at home.

Extracurricular Activities

  • Facilitate in-person participation opportunities to strengthen social bonds, build community and learn the joys and challenges of working and playing together in the “real world.”

  • Offer a variety of clubs and activities, such as debate teams, AG groups, Math, Art, STEM, Robotics and more to cater to diverse student interests and career aspirations.

Integrity and Accountability

  • Foster a culture of honesty, respect, and responsibility among students, staff, and administration.

  • Promote integrity by being truthful, treating everyone equally, and modeling strong values.

  • Enhance accountability by meeting deadlines, achieving learning goals, and correcting mistakes constructively.

Integrity in Education, Inspiring Excellence
